Heide Hart brings over 20 years of experience to Sustainable America in event planning and skills training in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. In her role at Sustainable America, Heide works with corporations, event organizers, and sporting venues to implement foodwaste reduction and diversion programs. Partnering with South by Southwest Eco, Sustainable America yielded a 97% diversion rate in 2013. In 2015, Heide initiated a composting and food rescue program at the Richmond International Raceway, for which they were awarded a NASCAR Green Sustainability Award. She is also working to implement a Food Too Good To Waste pilot for faith based organizations in Connecticut, underwritten by a grant from the EPA. Heide attended the University of California at Berkeley.
