AnaWyssman1SQAna Wyssmann is a Solid Waste Recycling Subject Matter Expert, leading service delivery to JLL clients IFM accounts. She is responsible for developing sustainable waste management strategies and implementing standardized programs for facility operations ranging from 100 square feet to 12 million square feet in the U.S. and globally. Wyssmann has helped her clients save more than $2.5 million in landfill expenses annually, and generates over $2 million dollars in revenue annually from sold commodities. Wyssmann has created industry leading recycling programs in commercial, administrative, R&D, construction, and manufacturing spaces.

Ms. Wyssmann’s expertise is in portfolio recycling & waste reduction. Her programs have achieved and exceeded 90% waste diversion. Wyssmann has implemented sophisticated yet intuitive waste diversion systems, developed commercial volume composting programs, driven waste management education, and consulted on waste re-engineering efforts.

Ms. Wyssmann has developed waste performance reporting, analytical tools, auditing systems and feedback loops to ensure vested management. She’s working with the JLL PEERS team to translate all performance management indicators into a live online tool, viewable by all program stakeholders.

Ms. Wyssmann’s programs are focused on exceeding baselines set by the USGBC’s LEED Standards, and the U.S Zero Waste Business Council’s guidelines for Zero Waste Management.

Previous experience:

Ms. Wyssmann served as an Environmental Building Consultant in the Southwest region, managing LEED project certification. She has supported the LEED certification of over 25 buildings, including LEED EB, EBOM, CI, and NC focused projects. Wyssmann has assisted Fortune 100 clients including Johnson and Johnson, Microsoft, Amgen, Purina, Genentech, and Bank of America. She has implemented strategic sustainability roadmaps, carbon reporting, sustainability learning & development programs, and has chaired several interdisciplinary sustainability focus groups.

Ms. Wyssmann also acted as the National Sustainability Manager for an International Soft Services Management company, with the majority of her focus on High-Tech clients. Her expertise in solid waste recycling drove the World’s Largest Microchip Manufacturing Corporation’s success to world-class standards.

Ana currently resides in Portland, OR. She spends as much time outdoors, rock-climbing and running as possible. In addition to environmental activism, Ana regularly volunteers her time advocating for marginalized communities.
